The AVPA is committed to building out sustainable programs to support and develop our players in VCT, Challengers, and Game Changers. In the six year history of the LCSPA and the past two years of the AVPA, there has been a focused effort on how to do the most good for PA members and for esports players everywhere. LoL and VALORANT Players have pioneered in areas from amateur education to pooling contract information to creating a safe space for misconduct to be reported and held accountable. Through these enduring programs, we ensure a better tomorrow for all of our players and provide a roadmap for how players across our industry can better protect and improve their rights in the esports industry.

Programs

  • Launched in early 2022, the LCSPA and AVPA now operate a Group Rights Licensing Program similar to all major sports leagues in America. The MLBPA was the first major sports league to fund itself through Group Rights during the 1960’s under the leadership of Marvin Miller, and their work has served as the blueprint now used by all PAs in the US for sustainability. The PA works exclusively with OneTeam Partners as our commercial partner which markets the player Group Licensing Rights to potential partners in common group licensing categories like physical and digital trading cards along with memorabilia and other licensing categories.

  • Since its inception in 2017, the LCSPA has maintained and updated a player contract database. The same program was launched in 2022 for the AVPA. This database is where players share their contract information to see contract information from other participating players. Each year it is updated regularly to include new player contracts. It is the legal right of every employee in America to be able to share employment contract information with fellow employees and our database represents the largest information network of players in all of esports.

  • Each year, the AVPA in collaboration with Riot Games provides a summit for VCT, Challengers, and Game Changers players to ensure education around key topics including workplace misconduct reporting, mental and physical health management, and brand building programs. These programs are the first line of defense for player safety and well-being.

    The AVPA counts all Amateur players as Associate Members. This means that the PA extends all resources and aid available to these members despite them not being voting members. As a part of this, each year the AVPA collaborates with Riot to host multiple online educational sessions for Amateur players. The sessions are focused on baseline education for new aspiring pros with typical topics including mental and physical health 101, how to build your brand, basics of contract negotiation and getting representation, and an introduction to what the AVPA is.

  • The AVPA provides a safe reporting program for all players in the professional VALORANT environment.   • The LCSPA and AVPA began a voluntary Agent Certification program in 2024 to serve the North American esports community by creating a single database for players seeking an agent or lawyer to find trustworthy, industry-experienced representation options. The PA works to uphold a high standard of education, security, and benefits for both players and agents.
